Archival B&W Prints

I strive to offer the highest quality prints available on the market today by using a specifically designed Piezography printmaking system. Unlike other printing systems it is eco friendly and it is the latest incarnation of the legendary black & white inkjet processes that Jon Cone has been developing since the early 1990’s.

All B&W photographs are printed in-house using pure carbon pigment ink sets with as many as six dilutions of grey. Achieving such quality of a black and white prints with the best of printers that use one, two, or even three shades of grey is impossible. The piezography process produces the smoothest possible tonality, greatest available longevity (200 years and more if kept behind glass), and can also produce very sharp enlargements.

Benefits

* Better longevity (no color components to fade or shift)
* Zero metamerism
* True monochromatic look
* Greater detail in shadows and highlights than conventional darkroom prints!
* Eco friendly solution

Details about Fade-resistance

Pure carbon pigment inks, which I use for my prints collection, have been designed to fade less than that which is human perceptible. The density loss over time will be 5% or less, a stark comparison to that of EPSON and HP printers which have fade rates of 35%. Additionally, Piezography inks will not color shift greater than deltaE 2. These are below that of the human visible perception.
